VMAS WAS A PLACE FULL OF JOY!
At the 2011 MTV VMA’s the show was a little bit shorter than usual, but they didn’t stop King Bey and Lagy GaGa from pretty much stealing the show!!! Beyoncé on VMA Black carpet revealed her baby bump and later flaunted it during her “Love on Top” performance at the end by gloating and a tummy rub. (Side note: Did anyone besides ME realize at the beginning of her performance she says “I want y’all to feel this LOVE growing INSIDE of me”. ?) GaGa was a MAN the ENTIRE show, talking sometimes in third person and sometimes in first person, AND she gave and amazing theatrical opening! Nicki Minaj came as a Japanese anime character, which to me looked a little bit like she was having bamma day at your local high school *shrugs* but either way she snatched her first VMA for Best Hip Hop video for “Superbass” -_-. A Britney tribute was done, but I can’t even remember that the tribute was about her because she was SO exhilarating to be announcing Beyoncé who was taking the stage next! Chris Brown of course lit the stage on fire dancing and flying through the air, and even received a standing “O” from Kanye West himself. Adele gave a soulful performance (Sidenote: I was sad she did not win as many awards as I thought she would.) And then Lil Wayne wrapped it up wearing some tight ass skinny jeans. Beyonce' premieres the video to her "favorite song"
Tonight on E! at 7pmEST King Bey will be dropping the visuals for what she refers to as “my favorite song”. The song with it’s powerful vocals and written by The Dream, is no doubt one of my favorites. Tune into E! to see her unveil the love story. Sources say it’s about commitment and fulfillment and it’s Bey at her most beautiful. The video is said to experiment with psychedelic visual effects and innovative lighting. While it is not an official single, it it said that this will be the first of many videos which will visually tell the story of “4”.
